Surrounded by rare African artworks from the 19th century, a series of paintings by Georges Braque, Albert Gleizes, Jean Metzinger, André Lhote, and Jacques Villon sheds light on the origins of cubism. From January 27th to September 15th, 2017, exceptional loans allow viewers to admire, among other things, Les trois femmes sur fond rouge by Fernand Léger as well as two 1925 cubist artworks by Nadia Léger at the Musée d’art moderne et contemporain in Saint-Étienne until the end of summer 2017.
